In 1969, my step-father Pat Ashby uprooted my mother, sister and I from coastal Texas and took us to the island state of Singapore. An ex British colony stretching it's feet in the throes of independence in turbulent south east Asia. Cobbled together with 4 cultures, Chinese, Malay, Indian and Europeans. Given a camera and a wonderful school darkroom I explored this opportunity. Unfortunately through time and carelessness most of my negatives were lost. The following gallery is all I really have left.
