Unrecorded reflections of my father's time as a Martin B-26 Marauder (The Widowmaker) pilot he barely chose to tell me about during my childhood. Not sure if he wanted to spare me the horro of war, how it would not jive the celebratory movies and TV shows of that time or to protect himself from those memories and just move on immersing our family in the post-war boom. No matter how slim pickings or protective, there was enough to make this private painting between him and myself.
